Regional vendors will display their crafts and treats for the ten-day Central States Fair. Both indoor and outdoor vendors will be on display during the week of the fair for a chance to shop and eat and enjoy all the fun fair activities.

There are a number of food vendors that offer all the fun fair food on the Midway. Food Vendors range from the old-fashion hamburger to fair favorites such as funnel cakes and corn dogs. Here's some of our suggestions of "must haves" at the Central States Fair.

Knights of Columbus Breakfast: Served from 7 am to 10 am, you won't find a better breakfast for the price in the Black Hills. We recommend the Biscuits and Gravy, but don't forget about their burgers for lunch, plus you can play Bingo.... Burgers and Bingo... What's not to love?

The German Tent Brats and Sauerkraut: The German Tent is a crowd favorite at the Central States Fair. The German Tent serves up authentic German foods including the mouth watering Brats with Sauerkraut and paired with German Potato Salad. In addition, the German Tent serves traditional German Beer during the fair with a live polka band daily. Servers are dressed in traditional German attire. Who needs Oktoberfest when you can have the German Tent?

Corn-On-The-Cob: Located on concession Row, the roasted corn-on-the-cob is one of a kind. Corn-on-the-cob is roasted with husks and all on a homemade roaster. Just look for the crowd and the corn.

Homemade French Fries: If you don't want corn-on-the-Cob walk a few feet down and indulge in  the best homemade, cut, french fries this side of the Mississippi. If you want to go on the wild side, order a pigtail. Homemade curly fries, smothered with coleslaw and BBQ; three food groups on one plate.

Old Fashioned Root Beer: A tasty treat for carnival goers. The old fashion Root Beer stand offers fairgoers homemade sarsaparilla plus an old fashioned mug. Don't like Root beer, no problem, the Old-West stand also offers homemade flavored peach and raspberry tea with fresh fruit, homemade lemon drop soda, Sweet Tea, Cream Soda, Black Berry Soda or Orange Cream Soda.

The Gyro:  Tender Lamb or Pork on a pita with homemade cucumber sauce makes the gyro stand a hidden delicacy at the Central States Fair. The gyro stand is located next to the Coors Tent and offers authentic gyros. See for yourself.

Creme Puffs: The Creme Puffs are one of the most popular Central States Fair foods. Large shells, filled with cream and topped with your favorite toppings from fresh fruit to chocolate and caramel. The Creme Puffs are located in the Fine Arts, order your creme puff from the "Blue Ribbon", "Red Ribbon", and "White Ribbon" menus.

The Central States Fair also offers both indoor and outdoor exhibit spaces for commercial exhibits. Exhibitors range from home supplies, hot tubs to at-home businesses and agriculture equipment. All indoor vendors are located in the Soule Building while the outdoor vendors are located north of the midway to the German Tent.
