Rapid City, S.D. –The Central States Fair announces Chase Rice will headline on Tuesday, August. 20 during the Black Hills Energy Concert Series. Joining Rice will be Parmalee.
Before being announced as a single, “Eyes On You” was streamed over 50 million times and became a mega-hit for the CBS TV show Survivor: Nicaragua, where Chase was a fan-favorite contestant. “The Lambs & Lions album is an album that stands for what I stand for,” says Rice. The 10-song album is a follow up to his RIAA Gold-certified studio album Ignite the Night that debuted at number one on BillboardTop Country Albums and number three on the all-genre Billboard 200. Producing hit singles including Platinum-certified “Ready Set Roll” and Gold “Gonna Wanna Tonight”.
Joining Chase Rice will be the quintessential American Country band, Parmalee. Named after the small town in North Carolina where the band started, they broke out in 2013 with their first single “Carolina”, that went Platinum-certified #1 on the album Feels Like Carolina landing in the top 10. More singles followed with “Close Your Eyes” and “Already Callin’ You Mine”. Then the sophomore album 27861 came with more hits including “Roots” and “Sunday Morning”. Their show will be nothing but rambunctious from the same spirit built from the roots of their music.
Chase Rice and Parmalee join the Black Hills Energy Concert Series with Big & Rich and Tris Munsick & the Innocents on Sunday, August 18.
The 74th Annual Central States Fair will be Aug. 16-25, 2019. The ten-day fair will include three nights of concerts, Mountain States Ford Demolition Derby, Supercross Racing, PRCA Xtreme Broncs Finals, PRCA Rodeo and Carnival Americana.
Tickets and fair passes will go on-sale online ONLY at www.centralstatesfair.com June 12 followed by Family Fare locations and the Central States Fair office on July 1. Passes will again be at a discounted price until August 1.
