Rapid City, S.D. –The Central States Fair announces Chris Janson to headline on Monday, Aug. 19 as part of the Black Hills Energy Concert Series.
Janson is a platinum-selling, high-octane, multi-instrumentalist, award-winning singer/songwriter and entertainer. This will be the concert to see this summer with number one hit singles including “Good Vibes”, “Fix A Drink”, and “Buy Me A Boat”. Plus “Drunk Girl” has won Music Row “Song of the Year”. Chris Janson is the only artist in 2018 to open and close for the CMA Awards with what Rolling Stone, hailed as a “must-see performance”.
“To my knowledge, this is the very first time Chris has been in the Black Hills market”, says Fair Manager Ron Jeffries. “Anytime we can bring a “newcomer” to the marketplace, we’re happy to do it and we think Chris Janson fits that bill perfectly.”
Joining Janson for the Black Hills Energy Concert Series will be Big & Rich with Tris Munsick & the Innocents on Sunday, August 18; and Chase Rice with Parmalee on Tuesday, August 20.
The 74th Annual Central States Fair will be Aug., 16-25, 2019. The ten-day fair will include three nights of Black Hills Energy Concert Series, Mountain States Ford Demolition Derby, Supercross Racing, the new PRCA Xtreme Broncs Finals, PRCA Rodeos and Carnival Americana.
Tickets and fair passes will go on pre-sale, ONLINE ONLY, at www.centralstatesfair.com June 12 and Family Fare locations and the Central States Fair office will be selling tickets July 1.
