Central States Fair, Inc. welcomes
RUSSELL DICKERSON
to the Central States Fair as part of the Black Hills Energy Concert Series on
Saturday, August 27
. Fans already know Dickerson as a prolific songwriter and powerhouse showman. In 2017, his gold-certified full-length album, ‘Yours’, bowed at #5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and #1 on the Emerging Artists Chart. Not to mention, it yielded three consecutive #1 hits including the double-platinum “Yours” (christened “One of the hottest wedding songs of the year”), the platinum “Blue Tacoma,” and platinum “Every Little Thing.” Nominations followed at the Academy of Country Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, and iHeart Radio Music Awards. Among many highlights in 2020, he received a nod in the category of “Best New Male Artist of the Year” at the ACM Awards.
Opening for Dickerson is
LOGAN MIZE
. In 2009, Mize released his first, self-titled album. Over the next decade and three more albums, he scored hit singles with “Ain't Always Pretty” and “Better Off Gone” (which was recently certified Gold by the RIAA), and logged over 350 million streams on different platforms. Mize’s newest album, ‘Welcome to Prairieville’, is his most personal work to date.
“We are extremely excited for this year’s Central States Fair”, says Ron Jeffries, Fair Manager. “We’ve made some scheduling changes that we think fairgoers will really like, and our entertainment lineup is sure to please.”
Festivities will again open Friday night, August 19 with the Supercross Races, followed by the Mountain States Ford Demolition Derby on Saturday. NEW this year Xtreme Broncs Finals will be Sunday, August 21, followed by three nights of PRCA Range Days Rodeo Monday through Wednesday. The Black Hills Energy Concert Series rounds out the 10-day grandstand schedule with the Roots & Boots Tour featuring Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin and Collin Raye on Thursday, Walker Hayes with Diamond Rio on Friday and Russell Dickerson with Logan Mize on Saturday.
Grandstand Passes for all nine nights of entertainment go on sale June 15.
The Central States Fair takes place August 19-27 at the Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City.
