“Country” will be the word of the night on Tuesday,
August 20 as Chris Cagle, Diamond Rio and Joe Diffie all take the stage at the
Central States Fair.
The show will start at 7pm with Joe Diffie getting the crowd
started with hits such as “John Deere Green” and “Third Rock from the Sun.”
“Joe put on a great show for us back in 2007”, say Central States Fair GM Ron
Jeffries, “and he’s been a steady request to have back ever since!”
Following Diffie is four time CMA Vocal Group of the year
Diamond Rio. They debuted in 1991 with their hit “Meet in the Middle,”
Diamond Rio became the first group in the history of country music to have a
debut single reach number one on the charts. They continued with 32
more singles on the charts including “How Your Love Makes Me Feel”, “Love a
Little Stronger”, and “One More Day”. “This is one of those
concerts that you will literally know every song” says Fair promotions director
Kadee Hande.
Headlining this great night of country music is Chris Cagle
with his chart toppers including “What Kinda Gone”, “Let There be Cowgirls”,
and “Chicks Dig It”.
“These three acts represent three decades of county’s
greatest hits”, says Jeffries. “It’s family entertainment at it’s very
best!”
Tickets for all grandstand events are scheduled to go on
sale early July. The Central States Fair will take place August 16-23,
2013 and will again feature four nights of concerts, three nights of PRCA Range
Days Rodeo, Supercross Races, a Demolition Derby and new this year…a Ranch
